Got a Plumbing Problem? We're Just a Call Away!
Humming, Jammed, or Leaking? We'll Sort It Out
When a disposal hums but won’t turn, leaks under the sink, or trips its breaker, there’s usually a clear cause — a jam, a worn motor, or a failed seal. Our plumbers diagnose it on the spot and tell you honestly whether a repair or a replacement makes more sense.
If it’s time for a new unit, we’ll recommend a properly sized, quieter, more powerful disposal and install it so it’s leak-free and wired correctly. We also clear the drain line that disposals so often clog.
What Goes Wrong With Disposals
Jams & Humming
A stuck flywheel makes the motor hum without spinning. We free the jam and check the motor and reset.
Leaks
Disposals leak at the sink flange, the dishwasher hose, or the bottom seal. We pinpoint the source and reseal or replace.
No Power / Tripping
A disposal that’s dead or keeps tripping the breaker may have a failed motor or wiring fault. We test and repair safely.
New Installation
Upgrading to a quieter, stronger unit? We remove the old disposal and install the new one watertight.

Garbage Disposal Repair & Installation — Questions & Answers
Why does my garbage disposal hum but not spin?
That humming usually means the flywheel is jammed. We free the jam, check that the motor still spins freely, and test the unit — often a same-visit fix.
Is it worth repairing a leaking disposal?
It depends where it leaks. A flange or hose leak is an easy reseal; a leak from the bottom of the unit means the internal seal has failed and replacement is the better value.
How long does a new disposal installation take?
Most replacements take under an hour. We remove the old unit, install the new one, seal every connection, and test it before we leave.
What shouldn't I put down my disposal?
Avoid grease, fibrous foods like celery, coffee grounds, eggshells, and bones. These cause jams and downstream clogs — which we can also clear if it’s already happening.
Can you install a disposal I purchased?
Yes. We’ll install your unit, wire and seal it correctly, and make sure the dishwasher connection and drain are leak-free.
